Traveling with Children
For all South African minors under the age of 18 (eighteen) who travel abroad into and out of South Africa, the Department of Home Affairs has published requirements.
Children's and newborns' ages must correspond to the dates of travel. If the youngster is traveling alone, without either biological parent, or unaccompanied, there are extra requirements. Passengers will be refused boarding if they fail to provide this information at check-in.
For information on children traveling internationally, please visit the Department of Home Affairs website at http://www.dha.gov.za/
